Sr. Vincent Tan has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He graduated with Bachelor Degree (Honours) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Reading, England in 1987. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), a Consultant Quantity Surveyor(CQS) with the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQS) and a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), UK since 1993.

He started his career with Henry Cooper, England, the longest established Consultant Quantity Surveying firm in the world in 1987.

On returning to Malaysia in 1989, he joined JB Bergabung, Johor Bahru. He later held various senior positions in Juru Ukur Bahan Malaysia (JUBM) / Davis Langdon and Seah (DLS) for 10 years after which he managed multimillion high rise projects such as:-

• Grand Maya Hotel

• Eden Hotel

• Melia Hotel,

• A.I.A Office Tower

• Paramount Uptown Offices

• 138 Plaza

• Eden Duty-Free Shopping Complex

• Shaw Centrepoint Shopping Complex

• Hicom Infrastructure works

• Oakland Infrastructure works

• Damansara Uptown Infrastructure upgrade, etc.

In 1998, he founded Vincent Tan Associates that provide Quantity Surveying Services and Total Cost Management for the construction industry. On 5th May 2020, the company name has been changed to VINCENT TAN ASSOCIATES SDN. BHD. (VTA)
